Deceived or Disobedience

Deceived or Disobedience?
1 Tim. 2:14  And Adam was not deceived,
but the woman being deceived was in the transgression.

Many say Adam and Eve were deceived into eating from the Tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil. But I would mention that they knowingly disobeyed the command of God not to Eat from the tree.

People are free to do what they want against the will of God, but there will be consequence’s to pay. Many hate God because of these consequences and want to be free from any consequence. What they do not realise is, the commands are from a loving Father who knows what’s best for you.
He does not want to punish, but to learn that disobedience is death, and even gives you a whole lifetimes experience to learn it.
He’s not an evil task master, that gets off on hurting man, but a very patient Parent picking you up brushing you down and tenderly saying try again.
By bringing every thought to the obedience of Christ, we learn not to be persuaded by the enemy, and to standfast.

[2Co 10:5-6 KJV] 5 Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ; 6 And having in a readiness to revenge all disobedience, when your obedience is fulfilled.

Eve could have said to satan, I don’t know you? I will ask the one who Created me. We were told not to, who are you to persuade me into disobedience? So were they gullible or ignorant?

My people perish through a lack of knowledge?
Be not ignorant of the devils devices, be not deceived?
His Word have I hid in mine heart, that I might not sin against thee.

My point of all this is, a personal closer walk with Jesus will prevent us from disobeying in the first place, let alone allowing the devil to deceive us!
